Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 8–12 minutes
Total time: 40–45 minutes

Yield: 36 servings
Serving size: 1 cookie

Ingredients

Cooking spray
1/3 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 medium egg, beaten
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°F and coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine corn syrup, honey, granulated sugar, and butter and stir until butter melts and sugar dissolves (5–10 minutes). Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes, and then stir in egg. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cloves, allspice, and cinnamon. Gradually add the flour mixture to the corn syrup mixture and mix well. Form dough into balls, using about 1 tablespoon dough for each. Place 2 inches apart on the baking sheet and bake for 8–12 minutes, or until set. Cool and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
