Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

4 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
1 28-ounce can Italian plum tomatoes, such as Roma tomatoes, crushed
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (approximately 4–6 large leaves), or 2 teaspoons dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

In large saucepan, cook garlic in olive oil until garlic is browned and tender. Add tomatoes and their liquid to saucepan. Add basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to boil, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
