Green Salad With Warm Dressing

Ever get tired of the same old lettuce salad? For something truly different, try this fresh turnip green salad. The warm honey-mustard dressing and crunchy almonds make it something special.

Total time: 15 minutes

Yield: 4 servings
Serving size: about 1 cup

Ingredients

4 cups fresh turnip greens, cleaned and drained with stems removed
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup almonds, broken into small pieces

Preparation

Tear greens into bite-size pieces. Combine vinegar, honey, and mustard in a small bowl. Heat oil in a small saucepan. Add vinegar mixture and almonds and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over greens and serve.
