Apple Stuffing

Ingredients

1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons margarine
4 cups dry bread cubes, whole wheat or white wheat
1 cup diced, unpeeled apple
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
Dash of black pepper

Preparation

In skillet, cook onion and celery in margarine until tender (5–10 minutes). In baking pan, combine onion and celery with bread cubes, apple, poultry seasoning, chicken broth, and pepper and toss. Add more broth if needed to achieve desired moistness. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
